Brian France is the Founder of NASCAR. France is the former Chairman and CEO of NASCAR. During his 15 years as the league’s top executive, France grew NASCAR into one of the most successful sports organizations in the world. He secured landmark rights deals with major networks including FOX and NBCUniversal and expanded NASCAR’s licensing deals and
sponsorship participation. Major institutions recognized France for his accomplishments as NASCAR’s CEO, including the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame and TIME Magazine. France also helped open the NASCAR Research and Development Center and the NASCAR Fan and Media Engagement Center, and he founded NASCAR Green and NASCAR’s Diversity Council.
France co-chairs the Luke and Meadow Foundation, a children-focused charity that he and his wife Amy founded in 2011. The Luke and Meadow Foundation supports a range of causes including pediatric cancer research and care and access to basic education. The Frances was honored by Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation in 2015 and 2019 for their support of blood cancer research through the Luke and Meadow Foundation. The Frances also co-chairs the Amy and Brian France Foundation, which contributes to a wide range of causes. In 2020, the Amy and Brian France Foundation began a year-long partnership with SHARE Charlotte to support local nonprofits and present an educational series on causes significant to the Charlotte, NC community.
