Brian Markham is an experienced IT risk and compliance professional with more than 12 years of experience in higher education and private industry. Prior to joining GW, he was a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers' IT security, privacy and risk practice, serving the homeland security and financial services markets. He also spent seven years
at the University of Maryland at College Park in the areas of IT security, compliance and audit.
Mr. Markham oversees the compliance and risk services team, which is responsible for ensuring that the Division of IT is implementing IT services and solutions that comply with regulatory and contractual requirements. He also oversees the overall IT risk management program and various other information assurance initiatives within the division. Mr. Markham holds a B.A. and an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland at College Park.
