Brynne Kennedy is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of BCP Ventures. BCP invests in transformational technologies that reinvent our foundational industries. BCP's investments span Seed to Series B, and focus on food systems, sustainable energy and smart infrastructure, tackling challenges like food security, food waste, emissions reduction
and resource consumption. Kennedy leads firm strategy, portfolio management, investor relations and investment decisions, as well as representing BCP on the Board of Directors of four of the fund's investments. BCP combines Kennedy's prior experience in finance, tech startups and politics.
Kennedy started her career as an investment banker and private equity investor, where she advised on the largest IPO in Indian history, the redevelopment of the Delhi Airport and helped raise a $550M fund. Kennedy then was the Founder and CEO of enterprise software company, Topia. Under her tenure the company grew at triple digit growth rates to global scale, acquired two companies and raised $100M+ in venture capital funding. After stepping down as CEO of Topia, Kennedy ran for US Congress in California championing private-sector innovation as the way to solve large global challenges.
Kennedy has been recognized with many awards for her startup leadership, including London Business School's Distinguished Alumna Award, Management Today's 35 Under 35, and the recipient of numerous Entrepreneur of the Year awards. Kennedy is also the author of "Flat, Fluid and Fast: Harnessing the Talent Mobility Revolution" (McGraw Hill), which details the shift to remote and distributed global work, based on her 10 years as the Founder and CEO of Topia.
In addition to BCP, Kennedy has a personal investment portfolio across areas of personal passion, including art, media, spirits, fertility, future of work and real estate. She is the Lead Independent Director for future of work coaching platform TaskHuman and a Co-Founder of fertility startup Acorn, currently in stealth.
Kennedy holds an MBA from London Business School and a BA from Yale University. She is a former US national elite gymnast, Division 1 collegiate gymnast and two-time Ivy League champion. She has lived and worked throughout the US, Europe and Asia, speaks four languages and now splits her time between New York and LA.
