Cal is a General Partner at ABS Capital where his primary focus is health care companies. Cal has over two decades of experience working closely with growth companies around all aspects of enhancing their businesses through growth, strategy refinement, governance, operational and compensation structure optimization, expansion, and ultimately exit.
Prior to joining ABS Capital in 2003, Cal served as Vice President in Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown’s Health Care Investment Banking Group, where he specialized in equity, debt, and M&A transactions for health care growth companies. Cal acted as a key advisor to the senior management teams of his client companies in preparing and executing private equity capital raises, initial public offerings, high-yield and convertible debt issuances, and mergers and acquisitions. During this time, Cal developed an extensive network and deep domain knowledge of healthcare growth companies, with a specific focus on healthcare services, outsourcing, and information technology companies. In total, Cal has over nine years of investment banking experience with Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown & Sons and Kidder, Peabody.
