Charles Carinalli has served as a director of Atmel since February 2008. He has been a Principal of Carinalli Ventures since January 2002.

From 1970 to 1996, Carinalli served in various positions for National Semiconductor Corporation, a publicly traded company developing analog-based semiconductor products, most recently as Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer.Charles Carinalli currently serves on the boards of directors of Extreme Networks, Inc. and Fairchild Semiconductor International, Inc. Charles Carinalli also serves as a director of a privately held company.
Carinalli holds an M.S.E.E. from Santa Clara University and a B.S.E.E. from the University of California, Berkeley.
