Charles Teague is founder and CEO of Lose It!. In his role as CEO, Charles leads the company forward with passion, transparency and innovative thinking. His vision of building the top weight loss company in the world and for helping people lose weight in a healthy, sustainable, life-changing way has propelled Lose It! to the top grossing app in the
App Store and to the top spot in the Health & Fitness category. Charles never strays too far from his engineering roots and plays a hands-on role in the product development, engineering and innovation at Lose It!
Before founding Lose It!, Charles was Technologist in Residence at General Catalyst, where he worked to identify new investment opportunities in the mobile and cloud computing. Prior to joining General Catalyst, Charles co-founded Onfolio, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2005. In his role at Onfolio he was also VP, Engineering and responsible for all product development. At Microsoft, Charles worked overseeing the development and engineering of Windows Live Writer, which was originally created at Onfolio.
Charles was the first employee at Allaire Corporation, which went public and was acquired by Macromedia in 2001. At Allaire, Charles led the engineering and product development of ColdFusion, Allaire’s flagship product. Charles stayed on at Macromedia as Director of Engineering responsible for the continued development of ColdFusion as a strategic Macromedia product.
Charles earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Macalester College.
