Chen Feng is a co-founder of HNA Group and has served as the Chairman of HNA Group since 2000. Since co-founding the Company in 1993, Chen Feng has transformed a regional airline based on Hainan Island into a global company focused on tourism, logistics and financial services. With approximately $145 billion of assets, over $90 billion in annual
revenues in 2016, and an international workforce of 410,000 employees, primarily across North America, Europe and Asia, HNA Group operates as a global value chain capitalizing on global economic and business trends.

Chen Feng Chen’s career is rooted in aviation and global commerce. His background includes positions at the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the National Air Regulations Bureau in China, and he served as the Aviation Business Advisor to the Provincial Governor of Hainan province.
Chen Feng Chen has received several awards recognizing his excellence in business and entrepreneurship, including being named “Asian Business Leader” by CNBC. In 2006, Chen Feng was awarded the “Medal of the Commander in the Order of the Crown” by the Prime Minister of Belgium in honor of HNA Group’s contributions to economic exchange and development between China and other countries. In 2017, Chen Feng was awarded the “Knights of the Oriental Art” by the Belgian Parliament in honor of HNA Groups contributions to communications between the East and the West.
Chen Feng graduated from the Lufthansa College of Air Transport Management in Germany and received an MBA from Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands. He also completed advanced studies in senior management at Harvard University.
