Christopher’s career spans operational, transactional, principal investment, & advisory roles with healthcare and technology companies. He is currently a General Partner at Hawthorne Capital providing growth equity & credit investments for growth, recapitalizations, & management-led buyouts.
Christopher previously supported the
Board/Management of Accelarad, Inc. (acquired by Nuance Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:NUAN)), CardioMEMS (acquired by St. Jude Medical (NYSE:STJ)), Fidelis SeniorCare, Prenova (acquired by Ecova), & Navini Networks (acquired by Cisco Systems (NASDAQ:CSCO)). Christopher is currently an Advisor to Blueprint Health, LLC and is also the Founder & Co-Chair of the Atlanta Health 2.0 Chapter.
Christopher was the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of WisePatient (acquired by Sharecare, Inc. in 2012), a SaaS-based patient access & care coordination platform connecting patients and providers online. Before founding WisePatient, Christopher was a Senior Associate at Merrick Ventures, a healthcare and information technology focused venture capital firm led my Michael Ferro in Chicago, IL. While at Merrick Ventures Christopher supported the corporate development function of Merge Healthcare (NASDAQ:MRGE) focusing on mergers & acquisitions and post-merger integration. Prior to joining Merrick Ventures, Christopher was an Associate at Arcapita Ventures, the growth stage venture capital arm of Arcapita, Inc., evaluating healthcare and information technology related investment opportunities. Prior to Arcapita, Christopher worked in Accenture’s Health and Life Sciences Strategy Practice where he specialized in operational and information technology strategy for integrated delivery networks, academic medical centers, and health plans.
Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University, a Master’s of Public Health from Emory University, and a Master’s of Business Administration from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
