Chris DiFonzo is the Chief Executive Officer of Ember IT. He is the former Founder, CEO, and Chairman of OpenDesks, Inc. OpenDesks is a mobile, social software company changing the way people find, share, and manage spaces to work, meet, and conduct business.
Chris' has nearly 20 years experience in enterprise technology and startups. His
"big co" experience includes sales and consulting with global software powers Siemens, SAP, and Metastorm OpenText. In between corporate tours, as an independent consultant, he has led multiple key business development and marketing initiatives for numerous startups and advised founders on issues ranging from sales, branding, strategic communications, technology decisions, and project management. Prior to founding OpenDesks, he cofounded two companies: an Internet services firm and a business process software company. He also worked in a sales role for First Round Capital portfolio company ClickEquations when it was Commerce360.
OpenDesks launched in Beta in September 2010. With key team members Keith Dallara (Product Development), Georgiana Laudi (Global Community Manager), and Alex Zhitomirsky (Engineer), OpenDesks relaunched in June 2011 with 650 spaces throughout the US and Canada.
