Claudia is a social entrepreneur passionate about using data to advance higher education. After graduating top of her class at Georgetown University, she decided to turn down her job offer at Amazon and team up with her sister, Carolina Recchi, to build her first company ClassPulse. ClassPulse is a mobile application for classrooms that grew to
over 200 colleges in less than 2 months. As they were talking to their university customers, the two sisters realized that there was an even more pressing issue that was giving administrators a headache – student retention. With this information, they decided to start EdSights – a retention solution that uses predictive analytics to help universities identify and help students at-risk of dropping out.
