Cliff Miller is a co-founder of TurboLinux and served as its President and CEO until early 2000. He grew the company to 300 employees in 10 locations worldwide. He was responsible for raising two rounds of funding of over $60 million, and in forging alliances with corporate investors including Intel, Dell, NEC, Fujitsu, Compaq, Oracle, IBM and HP.
Miller holds bachelor's and master's degrees in linguistics from the University of Utah, where he also completed PhD coursework in computer science. He is the recipient of awards from the National Science Foundation, the American Electronics Association and the University of Utah. Miller speaks fluent Chinese, Japanese and Macedonian, and is the author of a best-selling book (in Japanese) on Linux business.
