Scott Barbour leads the Emerson Network Power business, which posted sales of $4.4 billion in 2015. He was appointed an Emerson executive vice president and the Network Power business leader in 2011. Emerson Network Power is a global leader in empowering the vital applications of the digital world for data centers and cloud providers, communication
networks and critical industrial applications.
Barbour began his career at Emerson as a program manager in 1989 and held positions with increasing responsibility at Emerson’s Copeland Corporation, including product planner, residential market manager, and director and vice president of air conditioning marketing. In 1998, he became a Copeland executive vice president and later was named general manager of the air conditioning business. In 2003, he was named president of that business. In 2008, Barbour became president of Emerson Climate Technologies-Asia Pacific and was named an Emerson group vice president in 2010.
Barbour serves as a board member for Recreation Unlimited, a not-for profit organization serving individuals with physical and developmental disabilities and health concerns through sports, recreation and education.
Barbour attended Southern Methodist University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He also received a master’s degree in business administration from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
