Dan Oblinger is the CoFounder at Analytics Fire an analytics and development consulting agency managing over $2 billion in Enterprise assets. He is the CTO at Aeolus Robotics which acquired Martian Robots which he also Founded. Before this he founded PayByGroup, and was a program manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA),
where he managed over $200M in research projects. His most well-known project at DARPA was Watson, the super-computer that competed on Jeopardy. Prior to that, he was a researcher at IBM Research where he worked on and led multiple data-mining projects in text, email, and adaptive interfaces.
Dan has a Ph.D. in computer science with a focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
