Dr. Dan Schlitz founded Ventiva based on his ground-breaking work in convection cooling and electro-hydrodynamic flow while at Purdue University. Moving the technology out of Purdue in 2004, Dan continued to refine and enhance his work for four years before seeking growth capital in Silicon Valley in 2008. As Ventiva’s chief technologist, Dan
leads the research group which is responsible for inventing next generation thermal management technologies. Prior to Ventiva, Dan worked at General Electric and Rockwell Automation.
With over 10 publications in the field of convection cooling and electro-hydrodynamic flow, he also has 8 issued patents and 21 patents pending. Dan received his B.A. in Physics from the University of Wisconsin and holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. An avid skier and biker, Dan works and lives in the Chicago area with his wife and daughter.
