Dana is a retired US Navy SEAL Commander with 20 years of elite leadership and excels at leading and coordinating high-functioning teams. Dana has a proven track record of success in fluid, high-stakes situations and has led numerous operational and tactical organizations in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Before joining Roper, Dana served as

the Operations Officer for the first SEAL-led Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force in Baghdad, Iraq. There he built a task force comprised of over a thousand personnel from ten countries responsible for successfully liberating Ramadi, Iraq from ISIS control. During this tenure, Dana experienced first-hand the unique ability of data integration and visualization to provide real-time operational and tactical decision support and speed up the decision-making cycle. Working closely with his software development team in Iraq, Dana and his team prototyped and delivered new software that integrated multiple personnel, equipment and finance tracking platforms into a single user-friendly interface that provided a complete operational picture in real time. This software was later commercialized and sold.

As an undergraduate, Dana studied Finance at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business. He holds a Master of International Public Policy with a Strategic Studies affiliation from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.
