Daniel Huertas is the CEO of Washington Capital Partners, a dominant private lender in the DC market. Daniel got his start in the residential lending space as an originator before quickly moving up to management. He was exposed to all aspects of the underwriting process, as well as packaging of debt to be sold into secondary markets. During the
economic downturn, Daniel saw property values plummet to almost below replacement. In turn, he dove headfirst into the real estate development and ownership side of the industry.
While acquiring hundreds of properties, Huertas saw firsthand the challenges of lending through traditional banks. In 2012, he decided to invest in technology to streamline lending, delivering a client-focused process that offers great terms and remarkable service.
