Darlene Berliner is a versatile Human Resource leader in the greater Houston area. She has 17+ years of HR experience in multiple business sectors including global manufacturing, healthcare, oil and gas/marine geosciences, and professional services.
Over the course of her career, Darlene has held various executive positions in HR
management. She has served as a workforce and people management expert for companies with international presences, handling global, multi-site responsibility for their staff. Though she began her venture into the workforce as a senior finance manager, Darlene soon found that the world of HR was a natural fit and that she enjoyed the work more than finance. Darlene saw that she could truly make a difference in the lives of employees, all while still impacting the organization's bottom line.
As a strategic partner to the C-suites of companies, she has worked to reorganize company structure and improve corporate culture, while also communicating the benefits of these changes to key stakeholders and company CEOs alike. She has led significant change initiatives and is highly equipped to ensure that change management is carried out in a successful and transparent manner for all associates of the company. To this day, Darlene considers her ability to create positive change in the work environment as the most rewarding aspect of working in HR. Though the world of human resources is not without its challenges, Darlene takes pride in her role and strives to do right by the employees she serves.
Proficient in all areas of HR management, Darlene Berliner especially excels in employee relations, performance management and succession planning, conflict resolution, compensation, talent acquisition and retention, training and development, and benefits administration. Her proven success in collaborating with management at all levels to implement new HR strategies makes her an asset to any company.
Darlene earned her Masters in Business Administration at Houston Baptist University, after pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications at Queens College. Additionally, she holds her SPHR Certification (Senior Professional Human Resources) from the Human Resource Certification Institute and is a SHRM-SCP (Senior Certified Professional) through the Society of Human Resources Management. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and of HR Houston, her local SHRM chapter.
