Dr. Acker founded several medical device companies including “Biosense”, acquired by Johnson and Johnson in 1997, now “Biosense Webster, Inc.”. Dr. Acker holds 33 US Patents for medical devices in the field of minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Acker is the Vice Chairman of the Stony Brook Foundation managing the Stony Brook University endowment. He
