David Fleck is a 23+ year technology industry veteran with over 22 years in Silicon Valley managing marketing, product lines, business development, and developer relations programs. His expertise includes the consumer and enterprise sectors in both hardware and software and most recently he has been focused on web-based and online technology
including Virtual Worlds, Social Networking, Social Gaming, and Social Media. He is currently the VP of Marketing of remote.it and Co-Founder of left Lane Network.
David was VP of Marketing at IMVU Inc. - an online community where members use 3D avatars to meet new people, chat, create and play with their friends. Previously he was a management consultant focused on helping startups such as Wild Pockets](http://www.wildpockets.com) (3D in-a-browser) and Super Secret (social entertainment for children) in a broad range of activities related to marketing and business development.
Previously, David held the position of VP of Marketing and Business Development and contributed to Linden Lab's Second Life becoming the most recognized brand in Virtual Worlds and 3D online spaces. He helped growth by accelerating user acquisition as well as initiating branding and developer programs.
Before joining Linden Lab, David held positions at Openwave and Macromedia (acquired by Adobe) where he gained expertise in mobile technologies including launching Flash Lite for mobile handsets. David joined Novell as VP of Global Partnering to oversee responsibilities in partnering and marketing programs. Other positions included marketing roles at Chromatic (first to ship a single chip DVD and multimedia solution for PCs), Telebit, and Creative Labs where he led efforts to establish Sound Blaster as an industry audio standard. David started his career in Silicon Valley at Computer Associates micro products group where he managed a developer relations program for the financial software.
David graduated from The University of British Columbia and British Columbia Institute of Technology.
