Captivated by big mountains, David started climbing in 1994. Formerly a PCA competitor and sponsored athlete, David continues to develop climbs and share his love for adventure with his daughters and wife, living in Lake Tahoe, CA. In parallel to climbing, David studies human computer interaction with a focus on the creative process. A TED Fellow
and TED Speaker his work has been recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts, The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, The FWA, and Communication Arts. David's work has been written about in Politico, New York Times Lens Blog, BookForum, The Daily Beast and TIME. David co founded Vibrant Data, a machine learning and network visualization company which was acquired by Rakuten in 2016.
