David Iskowe founded EnableComp in 2000. He came up with the original concept by listening to his client, who was struggling with their workers’ compensation claims. They are still a client to this day. David was the ultimate entrepreneur and EnableComp was actually the third company he started from the ground up. He loved the challenge and he
never, ever gave up.
David was an accountant by trade and spent many years in one of the largest national accounting firms. He moved to Nashville to join the corporate operations of HealthAmerica Corporation, which had been founded by Phil Bredesen, former Nashville mayor and Tennessee Governor.
He left HealthAmerica in 1996 and founded Focus Healthcare Management, which became the largest Workers’ Comp PPO Network in the country and was eventually purchased by Coventry Healthcare. David founded Providers’ Assurance and grew it prior to founding EnableComp in 2000.
David Iskowe passed away in 2014 from surgery related complications and is missed by his family, friends and his colleagues here at EnableComp. He was an inspiration to all of us.
