Originally a medical Doctor, David Landau co-founded Loot, London's Free-Ads paper, in 1985. Over the course of the next 15 years, David presided over the company's success and growth into one of the largest companies of its kind in the world.
He served as Joint Managing Director of the company from 1985-1995 and as Chairman from
1995-2000. In July 2000 Loot was sold to directory company Scoot.com. David has served as the Chairman of the National Gallery Company, was a Trustee of several charities involved in the arts, and a Supernumerary Fellow of Worcester College, Oxford. He is the founder and for 27 years was the Editor of Print Quarterly, a scholarly journal devoted to the history of printmaking, and has published several books in art history.
He is Saffron Hill's Chairman and is a member of the Investment Committee
