Mr. Macias has seven (9) years of Renewable Energy Project experience. Is Chairman of the Board and the Chief Executive Officer of Upower Group, Inc. as of May 2013. Upower is a Renewable Energy Developer of Solar Projects Internationally focused on building Utility-Scale Solar Plants through Power Purchasing Agreements (PPA's) with
Governments or National Electric Companies Worldwide. Upower signed via Upower Honduras a PPA with The Empresa Nacional de Energía Eléctrica (ENEE), the Honduran Government owned Electric Company on January 2014 to develop what became Latin America's Largest Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant to date, funded by The World Bank as Project 8404 as Upower Honduras for $232mm and fully operational on Honduras' west coast city of Nacaome. From October 2011 to December 2014, Mr. Macias was Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance and a shareholder of Hydro Alternative Energy, Inc., a Florida corporation specializing in the development of Hydroelectric and Hydrokinetic power generation with a Patented Ocean Turbine named “Oceanus”.
