David Moleshead has over 40 years of investment / international banking experience in UK, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, managing teams which have been market leaders and won numerous industry awards in the UK and overseas. He began his career in Scotland with the Midland Bank Group and undertook several managerial roles including reporting
directly to Group CEO.
In 1989, he became Managing Director with Banque Paribas, the French investment bank and had responsibility for specialised activities in Europe and then Asia & Pacific region, based initially in London and then Singapore. In 1998, he was appointed Regional Director and Territory Head for South Asia based in Delhi. In 2000 David moved to Dubai as Managing Director, Debt Finance & Advisory, Middle East for HSBC. He retired from this role at the end of 2005 and was a senior adviser to HSBC until 2007.
He has been appointed as a Globalscot by the first minister in Scotland to promote business activity for Scottish companies in the GCC.
He is an active angel investor and in this capacity has assisted several companies on an non-executive basis.
