David Steinglass joined American Capital in September 1997. Mr. Steinglass is one of the longest-tenured investment professionals in the firm and the initial member of the Bethesda buyouts team.
Mr. Steinglass currently serves on the boards of Mirion Technologies and WIS. He previously served on the boards of IMT, Weston Solutions, Texstars,
DanChem, PaR Systems, Aptara and Soil Safe. In 2007, he was asked to lead the expansion of American Capital’s investment activities into Asia.
Mr. Steinglass moved to Hong Kong in August 2008 and spent three years there, developing institutional relationships and assisting portfolio companies in exploring their potential to expand in Asian markets. In the summer of 2011, he returned to the Bethesda office to focus once again on middle-market buyouts.
Prior to joining American Capital, Mr. Steinglass was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Leonard B. Sand in the Southern District of New York.
Mr. Steinglass received a J.D, magna cum laude, from New York University Law School. He received his A.B, magna cum laude, from Harvard College.
