David Sturtz is the Chief Marketing Officer at Dealer-FX. He held the previous position of SVP, TrueTrade of TrueCar. David joined TrueCar in March 2015 and was responsible for launching, growing and managing TrueCar's vehicle trade solution. In 2007 David made his mark within the automotive industry by founding and serving as the CEO of
RepairPal, the patented, authoritative source for automotive repair pricing and diagnostic information, until 2011. RepairPal has won multiple awards and established strong relationships with Consumer Reports, USAA, AAA, US News Automotive, AOL Autos, Cars.com and several other leading online resources. In 2012, David joined Xtime, the leading customer retention platform for auto manufacturers and dealerships, serving as its Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Prior to his career in automotive, David started and ran a global-macro hedge fund and worked as a research analyst covering technology stocks for Credit Suisse and Volpe Brown Whelan. David holds a B.A in Economic Geography from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.S. in Engineering from Stanford University, where he was also a Research Associate at the Hoover Institution.
