Tupman is a long-time innovator and technology executive, most recently serving as vice president of iPhone and iPod Engineering at Apple from 2001-2011 where he led the development of numerous hardware products.
Tupman previously served as hardware engineering manager at Psion Computers from 1995-2001 and his career also includes key
engineering positions at Schlumberger and Caterpillar Ltd. Dr.
Tupman, who is a citizen of both the UK and United States and holds more than 30 U.S. and worldwide patents, received his bachelor of engineering degree, and an honorary doctorate in science, from Salford University and his HTEC in electrical engineering, with distinctions, from De Montfort University in Leicester.
