David is Chief Executive Officer at Akiri. A healthcare IT visionary, he brings more than 30 years of healthcare and technology experience to Akiri. David has demonstrated his passion for applying technology to healthcare innovation at California Integrated Data Exchange, Kaiser Permanente, MedeAnalytics, and Oracle, among other companies. As
Kaiser Permanente CTO, he was the prime architect of its HealthConnect initiative and engineered one of the most successful large-scale clinical system deployments to date. In addition to serving in the U.S. Marines, David also held positions as Global VP of Healthcare Product Strategy at Oracle and COO at healthcare information technology (HIT) company SSI Group. He currently sits on the Board of Directors at Shield Healthcare and is a member of the Information Convergence Advisory Board at New Leaf Venture Partners. David earned a BA of Economics from the University of Southern California and graduated from the executive development program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
