Among his representative influences, Dean currently serves on several boards including Vice Chairman for the IT Network for the Young Presidents’ Organization, Director of the Gulf Coast Angel Network, Nations of Coaches (a ministry equipping college basketball coaches to leave a legacy of excellence in their schools), the national Distinguished Young Women Organization, and Crossroads World Wide.
Dean is also a former board member of the Mobile Areas Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of Development for the Board of Trustees for the University of Mobile, and former member of the University of South Alabama Athletic Foundation. Additionally, Dean also participates in MindShare (CEO organization for the most promising tech companies) and is a member of the Leadership Class XXII.
In addition to these representations, TMC Media has interviewed Dean multiple times as an industry thought leader and selected Dean several times to be a speaker at the IT EXPO, Cloud Communications Summit, IP Telephony Conference, and many other trade shows.
Prior to establishing Callis, Dean held a number of executive roles at some the world’s largest and most recognizable companies- General Electric and Ericsson. During his tenure, he ran a distribution channel of over 130 million dollars annually and increased the division by more 20%. Dean has over 12 years of technology and telecommunication experience including the evolution to a competitive local exchange carrier delivering hosted Voice- over-IP solutions.
Dean graduated from Liberty University (Cum Laude) with a degree in Business Management and Finance.
