Mr. Coppinger is the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for NTS. Reporting directly to William McGinnis the CEO, he is responsible for the execution of the sales and marketing strategy for NTS.
Prior to this role he was Chief Operations Officer where he was responsible for the efficient and effective operations of all operating units at NTS. In
his role he leverages NTS’ broad service capabilities, personnel and capital assets to their fullest extent, while ensuring that clients receive consistent, timely and excellent service at all NTS locations. Prior to this role, he was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development where he was responsible for Acquisitions and Marketing while helping to position the company for its significant growth. Mr. Coppinger directed and led many of the acquisitions completed over the past number of years for each group at NTS. He also helped drive the strategic initiative to expand into engineering services and supply chain management. Mr. Coppinger’s career began at NTS 15 years ago with responsibility for Sales and Marketing for the company’s NQA division and subsequently assuming responsibility for all of NTS’s Sales and Marketing enterprise wide.
Mr. Coppinger has been a visiting lecturer at the University of New Hampshire. He currently is Chairman of the Board “elect” and sits on the Board of the American Council of Independent Laboratories (ACIL), a National trade association representing independent, commercial scientific and engineering testing laboratories in the USA. He has also been a board member of private companies including the advisory board for Supplier Insight, a Cleveland Corporation, and a leading independent source for comprehensive qualifications and ratings information on B2B suppliers. He is a member of Vistage International, the world's largest membership organization of CEOs and senior executives.
He holds a Master's Degree in Science from Cranfield University in England and has completed continued education courses at both Boston College and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
He holds Certification from the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), and is active in the local chapter. He is a past member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), and is a past member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). During his career before NTS, he has worked in Engineering, Operations, Customer Service and Supply Chain Management at Teledyne, Braun, Waterford Crystal, Cosworth Engineering (Formula One race engines) and Vellumoid an Automotive Tier One Supplier.
