Don is the Chairman and Founding Partner of ABS Capital Partners. His investment interests and experience span the business services, health care, media and communications and technology sectors.
Prior to founding ABS Capital in 1990, Don spent more than 20 years with Alex. Brown & Sons Incorporated, where he was President and CEO from 1986 to
1991. In 1986, he took Alex. Brown public. He was the principal architect of Alex. Brown’s innovative industry-specific investment banking units, launching the firm’s health care, technology, and media and communications investing groups. He also led its Investment Banking Division before becoming CEO.
He attended Harvard Business School, Harvard Law School, and Kenyon College.
