Doug S. Rasor

Mr. Rasor has over 30 years’ experience in technology startups and the semiconductor businesses. From 1995 to 2005, he served as a Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Texas Instruments (TI). In this role, Mr. Rasor ran an organization responsible for scouting, and incubating TI’s entrance into new high-growth markets. Examples of successful businesses that were bootstrapped through his strategic marketing organization were Texas Instruments’ chipset businesses for MP3 players, digital still cameras, digital audio, wireless smart phone/PDA, and DSL modems.

Previous experiences include multiple field sales and business unit marketing assignments at TI, as well as sales and marketing management roles at Sierra Semiconductor. Before his entry into the semiconductor industry, he was a Director of Engineering at SIMUTECH, where he led the development of real-time simulation hardware/software for the avionics network on the F-16 fighter aircraft. He serves as the Chairman of Grid2Home Inc. He serves as a Board Member of On-Ramp Wireless, Inc.

Mr. Rasor serves as a Director of STARTech Early Ventures. He serves as a Member of Board of Advisors of Hie Electronics, Inc. He served as a Member of Advisory Board of TI Ventures and Member of Board of Advisors of InCube Ventures, LLC.

Mr. Rasor earned a degree in Systems Engineering from Wright State University, with postgraduate work in Computer Science.
