Dr. Kou is currently the Director of Epidemiology and Therapeutic Area Lead for Genetically Defined Disease and Fibrosis at Bristol-Myers Squibb. His responsibilities include clinical development support, safety monitoring and signal evaluation. He is the study director of several prospective safety registry and retrospective safety analyses. His
research interests focus on real world data analytics, data linkage, and innovative prospective patient registry design. He is the BMS representative on various collaborations with academia, patient advocacy groups, and data consortium. In addition to his research in the industry setting, he is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Health Policy Research at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He has authored and co-authored numerous peer reviewed articles and a book chapter.
