Dr Agbo is a leader in global health, corporate manager and the Chairman/CEO of Fyodor Biotechnologies Corp USA and Fyodor Biotechnologies Nigeria Ltd. Prior to founding Fyodor, Dr Agbo held senior research and corporate management positions at Johns Hopkins University USA, Utrecht University The Netherlands, Wageningen University The
Netherlands, and Cangen Biotechnologies Corporation USA. He is an inventor, author of numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications, book editor, and winner of numerous awards including ‘Outstanding Innovator of the Year’ award from the US Corporate Council on Africa, and Innovation Award from the Private Health Sector Alliance of Nigeria, among others. He has been a headline/guest speaker at various forums, including the White House/US Department of State Bio-economy Conference, Washington DC, World Healthcare Congress, Corporate Council on Africa US-Africa Private Sector Health Conference, Nigeria Business Summit, among others. Dr Agbo served as a member of Maryland Life Sciences Advisory Board that oversees a $1.3B fund established by the state to advance biotechnology, appointed by Governor Martin O’Malley of the State of Maryland USA.
Dr Agbo earned his PhD in Molecular Genetics from Utrecht University, MS in Biotechnology from Wageningen University, both in The Netherlands, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in ‘Leadership and Management in the Life Sciences’ from Johns Hopkins University Business School.
