Edward Rust is the Chairman of the Board and former Chief Executive Officer of State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, the largest insurer of automobiles and homes in the United States. Edward Rust was CEO of State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company from 1985 to September 2015.
Edward Rust is also a Director of Helmerich &
Payne, an oil and gas drilling company, and Caterpillar Inc., a manufacturer of construction and mining equipment. Edward Rust is a Trustee for Illinois Wesleyan University.
Additionally, Edward Rust is former Chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and was a member of Business Roundtable, where he served as Co-Chair for seven years, and the Financial Services Roundtable, where he served as Chairman. He was also a member of President George W. Bush’s Transition Advisory Team Committee on Education.
