Edward Hanway, age 64, served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CIGNA Corporation from 2000 to the end of 2009. From 1999 to 2000, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of CIGNA. From 1996 to 1999, he was President of CIGNA HealthCare, and from 1989 to 1996 was President of CIGNA International. Mr. Hanway is a former Member of
the Board of Directors of America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP). He is also a past Chairman of the Council on Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) and has been active in a wide range of issues and initiatives associated with children's health and education. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the March of Dimes Foundation and Drexel Newmann Academy and is the Chairman of the Faith in the Future Foundation committed to growth of Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
