Eitan Gertel is the Executive Chairman of Opsys Tech. He joined the Finisar Board of Directors in August 2008. Mr. Gertel is currently Chief Executive Officer of Finisar, effective with the merger between Optium Corporation and Finisar Corporation on August 28, 2008.
Prior to that, Eitan Gertel was Chairman and CEO of Optium Corporation after
joining Optium in 2001. Mr. Gertel brings a wealth of experience in broadband microwave and fiber optic systems. Prior to Optium, he was Vice President/General Manager of JDS Uniphase's TSD Division from 1995 to 2001 where Eitan Gertel had full P&L responsibility for the sub-system division as it transitioned from start-up status to a multi-hundred-million-dollar operation.
