Emir Turan was the founder and CEO of Giggem, a professional networking service for music industry. He now works at his family company as Vice Chairman.
Emir has Law and MBA degrees. Prior to founding Giggem, Emir worked at Cerrahoglu Law firm as an attorney and at QNB Finansbank as an investment banker. He still works at his family company Eti,
the market leader in confectionery in Turkey.
Along with his business background, Emir is also a musician for over 20 years. His long time problem finding the right members for his band led him to create Giggem, a professional networking platform for musicians, industry professionals and everyone who works in the music industry. Giggem has reached more than 30.000 members in the US and lived for nearly 4 years. Unfortunately, responsibilities in his family business has forced him to focus his energy and time on Eti, leading him to close Giggem in November 2015.
He currently resides in Turkey, with his wife and his two sons.
