Eric Sammer is the CEO and founder at Decodable, the data engineering company.
Prior to founding Decodable, Eric was a VP and Sr Distinguished Engineer at Splunk focusing on stream processing and Splunk's cloud platform. Eric founded Rocana, an event data observability company, in 2014 with cofounders from his time at Cloudera. Rocana was
acquired by Splunk in 2017. Eric was an early Cloudera employee where he held roles in both engineering and professional services. He has over 20 years of experience in data infrastructure, systems programming, and large scale operations.
