Ethan is a Principal at Phase3 Photovoltaics. He has most recently served as the research and development director at SunEdison. He holds a bachelors of science in silicon metallurgy and a doctorate solid-state physics, both from the Colorado School of Mines, and then conducted his post-doc at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Throughout
his career, Ethan helped found startups, like Solar Power Industries in Pittsburgh, led large chemical company product development teams like at Dow Corning, and spearheaded manufacturing innovation, like at SolarWorld, the largest silicon photovoltaic manufacturing facility in the United States.
