Dr. F.C. Tseng has been our Vice Chairman since July 2005. He was Deputy Chief Executive Officer from August 2001 to June 2005. He is also the Chairman of Global Unichip Corp., a director of Digimax, Inc., TSMC Solar Ltd., TSMC Solid State Lighting Ltd., and Vanguard International Semiconductor Corp.
He also serves as an independent
director, a member of Compensation Committee and Chairman of Financial Statement and Internal Control Review Committee of Acer Inc. He formerly served as the President of Vanguard from 1996 to 1998 and our President from May 1998 to August 2001.
Prior to his presidency at Vanguard, Dr. Tseng served as our Senior Vice President of operations. He holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from National Cheng-Kung University.
