Farzad Eskafi is a serial Entrepreneur and occasional angel investor with over 15 years of experience in SaaS, enterprise solutions, and consumers space in tech. Farzad has two major exits. He got his first taste of entrepreneurship at age 16 when he was employed part-time by a start-up telecom company, Open Telephone Network (OTelNet), which
developed software for mobile internet infrastructure. In 2002, OTelNet got acquired by Telecommunication Systems. Using his own college funds, Farzad established his first company, BayTutor, while still a student at UC Berkeley. BayTutor specialized in face-to-face and online tutoring services. In 2009, he sold BayTutor. Farzad worked next for PINCSolutions, a SaaS and cloud-service company specializing in logistics and trailer yard management. Farzad was employee #1 at PINC. He has stepped into a range of roles, from software and system engineering to product and production management, to customer engineering and operation. During his tenure at PINCSolutions, Farzad helmed various groups of software and hardware engineers, technicians, marketing, and account managers. PINCSolutions was acquired by KKR. After PINCSolutions, Farzad co-founded SparcIt. SparcIt was an AI company focused on non-cognitive assessments. SparcIt's solution assisted employers in creating more diverse workforce. Within 9 months, SparcIt was cashflow positive. In 2017, SparcIt was acquired by LinkedIn. Farzad joined LinkedIn as the head of product for LinkedIn Reputation where he initiated and launched various products such as LinkedIn Social Validation and Skill Assessments. Farzad graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Sciences in EECS, and he is an avid ballroom dancer.
