App Performance and Architecture Expert and Silicon Valley Inventor (3 patents, 2 pending), serial entrepreneur (2 exits). I started the Antivirus market with Symantec Norton Antivirus & Utils. I got Apple onto the Web. I got Sun into Web messaging and social media. I started the Open Source Testing movement (PushToTest, Appvance, $5M Series B
in January 2019) to 3 million downloads/650,000 users of my TestMaker software test platform. I helped start the Agile movement, then the DevOps movement.
I seek to be a driving force in a start-up or a division within a organization. I built my career in Silicon Valley as a detail-oriented problem solver, strategic thinker, and “go to” guy. I’m excited about new technology. I feel truly engaged when researching a problem and find my own articles appear at the top of Google search results. I love rolling my sleeves up and sprinting to a solution.
I contribute to and start open-source and Maker Movement projects for positive social impact. I help my teammates and everyone in the world make their own inventions and advance their careers. People know me for emotional intelligence, passion, and humor.
Social is the way to market products through engagement, influence, and advertising. I’m an expert.
A friend was recently losing herself to a moment of fear and asked me “How do you stay so calm?”
Lead teams from 5 to 50 people, often reporting to the senior management/board . Always prepared (project plans, backlogs, milestones, UX illustrations), thoughtful in my answers, and value truth over looks/posturing.
Always develop a solution to share best practices, lessons, patterns, and anti-patterns. I am a great communicator.
Author of "Java Testing and Design", the seminal book on designing large scale apps for performance and getting developers and testers working together.
