Frank Ruffo co-founded Aclaris and has served as Chief Financial Officer since its inception in 2012.
He is a senior financial executive with more than 20 years of biotech and specialty pharmaceutical management expertise in early stage through fully commercial operations. From 2014 to 2015, Frank served part time as a financial consultant at
Ralexar Therapeutics, Inc. (formerly known as Alexar Therapeutics Inc.), a specialty dermatology company. Frank also served part time as the Chief Financial Officer of VenatoRx Pharmaceuticals Inc., a pharmaceutical company, from 2011 to 2014 and the Chief Financial Officer of BioLeap, Inc. from 2010 to 2013. Prior to joining Aclaris, Frank co-founded and served as Chief Financial Officer of Vicept Therapeutics, Inc. from 2009 until its acquisition by Allergan in 2011. Prior to joining Vicept Therapeutics, from 1996 to 2008 he served as the Vice President, Finance and Controller of CollaGenex Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
