Co-founded JDA Software, now Blue Yonder, in 1985 and served as President, Co-CEO and Co-Chairman of the Board for various periods of time through 2000. Blue Yonder is Arizona’s largest software company with over 6,000 employees and revenues in excess of $1 Billion (50% of which originated from outside the US). The company is headquartered in
Scottsdale, Arizona and has 31 offices in major cities around the world.
The company received numerous awards and citations throughout the years. In 1997, Forbes magazine ranked the company 4th in its list of the “Best Small Companies in America” issue. Business Week followed by including the company in its “100 Hot Growth Companies of 1998” issue. Fred was a finalist in Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” competition in 1996. Since his retirement, he formed and serves as Managing Director of Clarendon Capital Management, LLC, a private investment firm and family office.
Fred was previously employed as Retail Consulting Manager with Touche Ross & Co. from 1981 to 1985 and as Director of Corporate Planning for the Sherwin Williams Company from 1976 to 1981. He was accepted and served as an expert witness in the field of software development at the Federal District Court level. Fred is currently Chairman of the Pakis Family Foundation
