Mr. Mossman is a senior executive with over 38 years of P&L responsibility for multinational private and public companies engaged in the development, manufacture and marketing of both small and large molecule products. His management and investment experience spans successful leadership of high growth companies, startups and turnarounds of
failing businesses. During his career Mr. Mossman has been involved in the synthesis, development or manufacture of several hundred chemical compounds in the various stages of their life cycle ranging from laboratory and preclinical to commercial.
Currently, Mr. Mossman is Chief Operating Officer (COO) and a Director of PLx Pharma, an emerging pharmaceutical company. In addition to his Board of Director’s position with GlycosBio, Mr. Mossman is also on the Board of DXO, an oilfield drilling fluid additives company and Redline Industries, a metal fabricating company for the energy industry where he serves as Chairman.
Prior to his role at PLxPharma, Mr. Mossman’s next most recent assignments included the role of Executive Vice President and COO of Cambrex Corporation with responsibility for global operations of this leading supplier of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients including generics, Biotech and Pharma development services, and drug delivery systems and diagnostic products. Also, previous to Cambrex, Mr. Mossman was CEO and Vice Chairman of Dixie Chemical Company, Inc. a recognized top tier manufacturer of high quality fine and specialty chemicals for diverse applications including pharmaceuticals, paper sizing, industrial coatings, printing inks and electrical oils.
In addition to his professional career, Mr. Mossman has been involved in many professional, charitable and church organizations as well as city government including Chairman of the Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturers Association (SOCMA ), executive for the Committee of American Institute for Pollution Prevention, Board of Directors for American Chemical Council and Texas Chemical Council, Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem for city of Nassau Bay, and Elder for Webster Presbyterian Church.
