George Mueller is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors at EcoSense Lighting since 2009. Previously, George was the Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Color Kinetics. George brought vision and strategic guidance to Color Kinetics and its Board of Directors. George is a seasoned inventor and
entrepreneur whose expertise lies in recognizing emerging technologies and creating successful ventures to realize their potential. George co-founded Color Kinetics in 1996 and was instrumental in spearheading the company's technical innovation, navigating its growth and fostering the early adoption of intelligent solid-state lighting across a number of emerging markets.
George is the author of more than 20 patents and several dozen pending applications pertaining to Color Kinetics' core technology. George has raised eleven rounds of venture capital and public equity totaling more than $100 million. George is a frequent speaker among the academic community and presents regularly at the nation's top business schools, including Harvard, MIT, Boston University, Babson College, Carnegie Mellon University and the Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. George was named Ernst & Young New England Entrepreneur of the Year in 2005, named to Boston Business Journal's Top 40 Under 40 in 2004, and is recognized as a successful and innovative business leader. George worked in Carnegie Mellon's Field Robotics Center and studied at the Graduate School of Industrial Administration before launching his first company, ISI Emerging Markets, in 1994. Today ISI delivers news and information on more than 60 key emerging markets through its network of 22 offices throughout Latin America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Sub-Saharan Africa. George earned a B.S. degree from Carnegie Mellon University with a dual major in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a minor in Fine Art.
