George Rehm is the Board Member at Tethys Bioscience.
George Rehm is a managing partner of aeris CAPITAL AG in Switzerland and has over twenty-five years experience as a lawyer and executive in international licensing, technology transfer and investment and privatization transactions in the US, Europe and Asia.
Along with his current career
in private equity, he also holds board seats in,ViaLogy PLC, Barnev Inc., Sensovation AG,TTTech AG.
In his capacity as Board member, George has been actively involved in international licensing transactions, IP strategy and product licensing transactions, as well as leading a major transatlantic financing round.
Prior to beginning his career in private equity with aeris in 2000, George functioned as legal counsel for numerous international technology transfer transactions, including deals in China and Russia for Applied Materials, Monsanto, Dow Corning and Mitsubishi Heavy Metals.
He was a member of a law practice focusing on privatization and cross-border investment transactions in Eastern Germany, the Czech Republic and the former USSR for over eight years.
He also served as legislative counsel on foreign trade and European Investment to major US electronics industry associations (AEA, SEMI), providing testimony and representation to them before the US Congress.
George was also active as chief European consultant to Bristol-Myers-Squibb on an oncology care project, involving delivery of services through ambulatory clinics throughout the EU.
He has served as CEO of a European health care IT developer, which he successfully sold to Data Card Corporation, and was instrumental in guiding a German incubator through successful Series A financing by a major German family foundation.
George remains as counsel in the Munich, Heidelberg and Berlin law firm Weitnauer Partners.
He received his BSFS from Georgetown University. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of Law.
George has written and lectured frequently in Germany and the US on international trade, investment, technology transfer, health care, and venture capital.
