Burnett, one of the company’s founders, has been Chairman of Avistar since March 2000. He has been CEO of Avistar and a director of Collaboration Properties, Inc., since 1998. Previously, he was a director of Avistar and has held directorships at both Vicor, Inc., and Western Data Systems. Burnett was also President of Teknekron, a group of
technology companies, and is one of the founders of Vicor, Inc. In addition to possessing a B.S. and an M.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in electrical engineering and computer science, Burnett also holds a Ph.D. from Princeton University in computer science and communications. He is a member of MIT’s Corporation (Board of Trustees) and a founding member of the McGovern Institute Leadership Board at MIT.
