Gregory Bishay, Co-Founder, Chief Scientist – Dr. Bishay earned a Ph.D. in Computer Vision and Robotics, from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN in 1997. He later developed vision algorithms for stereo, tracking, face detection, and built hardware and software DSP systems. He also built a novel four DOF pan-tilt system with central color vision
and peripheral monochrome camera from scratch to realize unique algorithms in Active Vision. Dr. Bishay was the Algorithm Development and Systems Group Leader for Conexant Systems working on First Generation CMOS sensors from Rockwell Science Center. He was responsible for developing the first USB CMOS camera for the company, and was granted Engineer of the Year for 1999. He was also leader of the System Architecture and algorithms of first CMOS sensor module in a mobile device. Dr. Bishay is also an inventor of several patents in the field of Imaging covering CMOS devices and Algorithms. Most recently, Dr. Bishay has been granted patents pertaining to the core technology that forms the basis for icClarity products.
